This Privacy Notice explains who we are, how to contact us, when we collect personal data, how we use that data, how long we may keep that data, and your rights.
WHO WE ARE
ELIM is the controller for all personal data processed by the Elim churches of the Isle of Man and its volunteers.

OUR APPROACH TO PERSONAL DATA
We respect an individual’s fundamental right to privacy. In general, we endeavour to be open and transparent with individuals when processing their personal data. However, in some limited exceptions, for example when investigating an allegation, it is not possible to do so.
COLLECTION, USE ANd RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA
We processes personal data under the following bases:
CONSENT: By providing us with sufficient information to pray for you and if you need practical support, we will be processing that information with your consent. Where processed under your consent, we will only hold on to your data whilst we are using it to pray for you and if you need practical support, to provide that support. Once we no longer require your data for this purpose, we will securely destroy it.
LEGAL OBLIGATION: Where you have provided us with data that we would be legally obliged to act upon, it will be necessary for us to process such data to fulfill those legal obligations. Where we have a legal obligation to process your data, we will hold it for as long as that legal obligation requires us to do so. Once we no longer require your data for this purpose, we will securely destroy it.
Your data will only be used for the stated purpose and will not be transferred, sold, interrogated or amended by automated processes, or be subjected to analysis.
Rights
As well as requiring us to correct any mistakes in your personal data that we process, you also have the right, subject to any statutory limitations:
to access your data, upon request
to object to processing, and
to erasure or restriction of processing,
GENERAL
We do not use automated decisions, or profiling when processing your data.
Where you seek to exercise you rights, we may require additional information in order to identify you or the information you seek.
DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA
In most circumstances we will not disclose personal data without your prior knowledge. However, where, due to the nature of the personal data disclosed, we have a legal obligation to process it, we will need to share personal information with the organisation concerned and with other relevant bodies.
WEBSITE AND COOKIES
Cookies are small computer files that are used to track your use of a website. Further information can be found here. There are a number of different types of cookies used by our website hosting and analytics provider, an up-to-date list of which can be found here. The information kept is non-personal and purely for the purposes of understanding how our site is used in the aggregate.
